What are anti-wrinkle injectables?
Botox and Dysport are both botulinum toxins used to relax facial muscles, softening lines and wrinkles for a smoother appearance.
Botulinum toxin is a natural protein with a well-established safety profile. It has been used internationally for over 20 years and has been available in New Zealand for cosmetic use since 1997.
How do 'tox' injectables work?
Botox and Dysport – both Botulinum toxins – temporarily paralyze targeted facial muscles, smoothing wrinkles and preventing new ones from forming. They can also be used to soften the jawline, rebalance facial proportions, and create a slimmer appearance.
How long does last?
Anti-wrinkle injectables typically start working within 3 to 5 days, with full results visible by 2 weeks.
Effects last around 3 to 4 months, depending on individual factors such as metabolism, dosage, and treatment area.
Is it safe?
Yes, anti-wrinkle injectables have a well-established safety profile and have been used in cosmetic treatments for decades. When administered by a qualified professional, they are considered safe with minimal risk.
Side effects are usually mild and temporary, such as bruising or tenderness, with rare cases of temporary muscle weakness.

Does it hurt?

How much is botox or dysport?
Dysport is generally priced lower per unit than Botox, but because its units are measured differently, more may be needed to achieve the same effect. This means the total cost can be similar, depending on the treatment area.
At Sass Skin, Dysport is $6 per unit, while Botox is $15 per unit.
The recommended number of units varies based on the specific treatment area and individual needs.

She is also quite conservative/holistic in her approach but in the best of ways; basically working with anatomy to make it the best it can be per the clients goals instead of upselling services which aren’t of benefit to the client.
